Edmonton, Saturday, 15 February 2025.
Join 10,000 leaders in Edmonton this April to explore Canada’s innovations in clean hydrogen tech. Discover how hydrogen could reshape our energy landscape. Exciting opportunities await!

A Landmark Gathering for Clean Energy

I’m thrilled to share that Edmonton is about to host one of the most significant energy events of 2025. From April 22-24, the Edmonton Convention Centre will welcome over 10,000 industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers for the Canadian Hydrogen Convention (CHC 2025) [1]. As someone deeply invested in clean energy solutions, I’m particularly excited about this year’s theme: ‘Powering tomorrow: unleashing hydrogen demand’ [1].

Coast-to-Coast Hydrogen Innovation

What makes this moment especially exciting is how it reflects Canada’s growing hydrogen ecosystem. British Columbia alone showcases the incredible momentum, with more than 50 businesses and 1,800 employees contributing to a thriving hydrogen cluster generating $375 million in annual revenues [4]. Since 2021, BC has received proposals for over 40 hydrogen projects, representing potential investments of $4.8 billion [4]. This convention comes at a perfect time to showcase these developments.

Expanding Horizons

The convention isn’t just about presentations - it’s a comprehensive experience. Attendees will have access to technical and strategic conferences, a bustling trade floor, and invaluable networking opportunities [1]. I’m particularly looking forward to the site tours, which will give participants first-hand exposure to cutting-edge hydrogen facilities [1]. The Global Hydrogen Case Competition will also bring fresh perspectives to current industry challenges [1].

A Canadian Clean Energy Movement

What’s fascinating is how this convention fits into a broader national momentum. Just two months later, in June, Vancouver will host the hy-fcell Canada conference, where international specialists will gather to discuss clean energy solutions [4]. Canadian companies have already shipped hydrogen fuel cell products to over 42 countries [4], showing our nation’s growing influence in the global hydrogen economy.
